Special Events in November at Imagination Place
Help us celebrate C.S. Lewis’s birthday in November. Imagination Place will be transformed into the world of C.S. Lewis’s imagination. Step through the wardrobe into Narnia and meet Mr. Tumnus and the White Witch along with other characters from the now famous Narnia Chronicles. Special events include an opening day festival, family night and kid’s night out.
Girl and Boy scouts alike can learn about the weather and complete activities needed to earn a weather related badge on the 8th at 1:00pm.
For your little ones, don’t forget Wee Wednesday every Wednesday at 10am with special programs and activities just for young children.
Special Events in December at Imagination Place
This year’s Festival of Trees examines cultural celebrations from around the world. “A World of Celebration” explores festivals of light from around the world, from Nebuta Matsuri in Japan and the Lantern Festivals of China to St. Lucia‘s Day in Sweden and Posados in Mexico. School children from all over Etowah County are learning about a specific festival and creating ornaments and decorations that reflect the traditions they are learning about.
Santa’ Workshop – Parents Day Off will give children the chance to make some gifts and do some Christmas shopping while their parents shop in peace.
During the Science of Snow events, both family night and kid’s night out, we will discover the secrets of snow.
