1. How did your musical career begin?
In first or second grade is when I began taking piano lessons. Then in third I played the recorder, and fourth they had us 'sample play' various instruments (string, brass, and wind) and pick which we liked best. Ironically, the lady who I 'sample played' the clarient for said that it wasn't the best instrument for me (oh how wrong she was), so I started out in band on the flute, then I changed to clarinet.
2. Who are your primary musical influences?
I am my influence.
3. What do you like to listen to when you aren't playing your instrument?
Slipknot, A7X, Norman Jean, Agnostic Front, Against Me!, Green Day, HIM, The Ramones, Alkaline Trio, The Chieftans (celtic), Something Corporate, Incubus, Weezer, Rob Zombie, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Killswitch Engage, Rage Against the Machine, The Misfits, Ozzy, Rammstein, Taking Back Sunday, As I Lay Dying, Bury Your Dead, Every Time I Die, FourTooMany, Atreyu, Brand New, Mudvayne, System of a Down, Yoko Kanno, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Ayumi Hamasaki, BoA, Do As Infinity, Marilyn Manson, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ray Charles, Kenny G, Frédéric Chopin, Claude Debussy, Roy Orbison, The Platters, The Temptations, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, The Carpenters, Tom Jones, Billy Joel, John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, and many more.
4. What are your hobbies outside of music?
Writing poetry, songs, and the occasional short story; reading, going to shows, practicing karate on my Virtual K.O., playing the piano, playing pool, blogging, making layouts and/or graphics for my site (http://endoven.aspfreeserver.com), twiddle my thumbs, draw/paint, get on the treadmill, and whathaveyou.
5. What has been your greatest opportunity provided to you because of your musical talent?
Going places and meeting new people who are as interested in music as much as I am.
6. What are your favorite movies or television shows?
My favorite movie of all time is Disney's Cinderella, and some others I like are Pulp Fiction, Dawn of the Dead, Saw, The Exorcist, House of 1000 Corpses (it wasn't scary, just dorky, but I like), the LOTR movies, the Harry Potter movies (yes, I am a geek, I'm not even going to lie), and many more. My favorite television shows are Family Guy, the news, the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, Discovery Health, various animes, Futurama, Wildfire, Law & Order: SVU, and other shows. I usually miss all of my other shows because I'm watching the news or history channel. Go figure.
7. You can have dinner with any four people, living or dead. Who would they be?
Elvis Presley (pre-weight gain and pre-drug addiction Elvis), Bob Marley (everyone's favorite restafarian), Pope John Paul II, and my dad (d. July 1, 1999).
8. What are your plans after high school?
I'm not really too sure of that, actually. I originally wanted to attend college and get a degree in law, whereas my mom wanted me to be a doctor of some sort, then for a time I wanted to be a forensic scientist (you can thank Law & Order: SVU for that), then I wanted to be a mortician, and now I want to be an artist in interior/fashion design; if that fails me, a career in music (a band director, etc.) would seem most likely. Then the marriage, family, and the rest of the shish kabob.
9. Who is your favorite historical figure?
It would be a stalemate between Pope John Paul II, the Marquis de Sade, Lillian Diana de Guiche (actress of the 1920's), Bob Marley, Georges Clemenceau, Jeanette Rankin, Archduke Francis Ferdinand, and Adolf Hitler.
10. Describe yourself in four words.
Weird, fun, smart, ambitious.
