Little Ryman Auditorium
Just in time for the Delnora Reed concert, the Music Center at Temple Beth Israel installed new rear sound panels today. They serve their purpose well, and are beautiful. The curtains were made from the grand curtain that hung in the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. A special thanks to Inez Fambrough for resizing the historic fabric down two 16′ x 10′ drapes. The color of the curtains blends perfect with the floors and stained glass windows of the building.
One of the workers said that “country music dust fell on them” during the process. “It was kind of a honky tonk kind of dust, like Kitty Wells or Roy Acuff.”
The Music Center at Temple Beth Israel is a colloborative effort bewteen the City of Gadsden and the Gadsden Cultural Arts Foundation. In addition to being an intimate performance space, it serves as home to the Etowah Youth Orchestras.
